Athanor
Athanor features student papers from the annual Art History Graduate Symposium hosted by the Department of Art History at Florida State University. Inaugurated in 1981, the Art History Graduate Symposium brings together students, professors, and members of the community to share ideas and expertise in a wide variety of art history and humanities topics.
Athanor was first published in 1981 by Allys Palladino-Craig from the Museum of Fine Arts. After years of development and growth, Athanor became one of the first publications of the Museum Press of the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts in 1994. In 2019, over 30 volumes were digitized by the FSU Digital Library Center and published on Open Journal Systems. Future volumes will publish online at the journal website below.
